FEB UPDATE
Well, just about 7 weeks to go till our final week of skating. Time to start Recital preparation and tie up some loose ends.
SPAGHETTI DINNER A SUCCESS!
We made about $1000 at the dinner where we served to about 55 people. It was loads of fun and we had a fair amount of community support. Next year I would love to see a few more club members bring out their family and friends. The raffle table had some really nice prizes and many people took home something.
FEB 21ST IS FAMILY DAY YES WE SKATE!!
Now we are starting to prep for our end of season Recital Monday March 21st. This is a skating show where all of skaters get to show their skills off to family and friends. Our theme this year is "A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES" . We are starting to work on our Recital booklet and are beginning to secure the ads that help us pay the bills.
On a more serious note, we are part of a committee which is hosting a teen dance at the Pontypool Community Centre Feb. 11th . We are fundraising for a local family who have a 14 yr daughter experiencing a serious illness. We hope to raise funds to help them with expenses and also show our support and encouragement during this difficult time. Cash and raffle table donations will be accepted. call Laura
